Mooresville, NC (July 17, 2018) – Wendell Chavous has been waiting to get dirty in his #49 Chevy Silverado all year long. This Wednesday night, his wait will be over as he returns to his dirt racing roots with primary sponsor, Sobriety Nation and take on the slick and muddy banks of Eldora Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, ‘Eldora Dirt Derby’.
“I have a good feeling my light gray truck won’t stay that color for long on Wednesday night. (laughs) We’re going to have a good time. I love dirt racing, it’s where I come from and I’m comfortable driving on dirt. The trucks respond differently to dirt than the other kind of cars and go-carts I’ve raced before but it’s so much fun slinging these big trucks down in the corners, getting it to hook up and turn fast. Track conditions are always good at Eldora for us so I’m confident we can get a good finish.” – Wendell Chavous
