Mooresville, NC (June 5, 2018) – When Robby Lyons’ plane lands in the Lone Star State, he will hit the ground running…to Texas Motor Speedway that is! Lyons will drive the #15 Chevy Silverado for Premium Motorsports on Friday night for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, ‘Rattlesnake 400’. He is super excited to make his way back to the 1.5-mile speedway, which means so much to him.
“Going to Texas this weekend is going to be really special. I can bet on pretty good odds that without that race track I might not ever have made it to NASCAR. Back in 2014 they had the Battle at The Big Top Legend Car series and we raced on the 1/5-mile track there on the backstretch and the ¼-mile on the front stretch of the big track before Cup qualifying. I won 4 out of the 5 races and got my first championship behind the wheel of a race car. That’s really the moment when I started believing that I could do this whole racing thing, so to come back 4 years later and get to race on the big track is just a dream come true. Also, we have Sunwest Construction back as our primary sponsor and we’ve ran really well each time we have had them onboard. Hopefully when the night is all said and done, it’ll be a confidence builder for the rest of the year like it was in 2014.” – Robby Lyons
